The Sweet Volcanic Escape!

Image
Taal Volcanoe Taal Volcano is the second most active volcano in the Philippines. According to a source, it has 33 recorded eruptions and was formed by a single eruption prehistorically between 140,000 and 5,380 BP (taken from Wikipedia). It is an island in the middle of a lake called Taal and is located wholly in the province of Batangas, the northern half of it is under the jurisdiction of Brgy. Talisay whereas the southern part of it to San Nicolas. It is also considered as one of the most attractive view in the Philippines. A picturesque view of Taal Volcanoe from Skyranch, Tagaytay. Enough with the history. It was Saturday morning when we decided to escape the busy streets of Manila and visit Tagaytay. A city known for its cooler climate and outstanding scenery. Going there is much more easier than downloading a series of Game of Thrones, it will only take you 2-3 hours or a 55 km bus ride from Cubao terminal (or a much lesser travel time using your private car)

Bangon Falls of San Roque, Northern Samar

Image
A picture of Bangon falls in San Roque Northern Samar. The trails to Bangon falls is muddy and watery. In the picture, we have to wear maong pants to avoid scratches and insect bites along the tricky path. Here's a picture of the bridge on the way to our destination. Say "HI" to our small tourguides. "The Hikers" An unforgettable "buwis buhay" path before arriving at our purpose. 1st stop: Another falls we encounter before arriving at Bangon. Welcome to Bangon falls. An unexplored beauty in the heart of San Roque. Relaxing from an almost 2 hrs hiking and feeling the vibes of the place. A diving spot for adventure seekers ;) "The monkeys" My epic "buwis buhay jump" where I almost expired. Thanks heaven for answering my prayers. Jealousy had taken over me so badly, I needed to jump, I owe my life to that amazing stick. ;

HIBABALAYAN FALLS in Lope De Vega Northern Samar

Image
Welcome to Hibabalayan falls of Lope De Vega, Northern Samar. An almost 3 hrs of hiking from the main road of Lope De Vega, passing these coconut tree bridges along the way. Before arriving at Hibabalayan falls, you'll have to go through three or more rivers (I can't recall the exact number) and a remote barangay where the people are friendly and hospitable. (They even offered us water and corn for snacks) The water is not that clear during our visit but still worth it. Our local tour guide even told us that during rainy season the water in Hibabalayan falls isn't that muddy. See you next time :) This is the falls above Hibabalayan. You'll have to trek the left side of the falls in order to climb here. A fantastic view awaits you. My barkadas are the best people in the world. Here we strike a pose for a memory that would last a lifetime. :)

The Heart of Las Navas : Pinipisakan Falls

Image
Pinipisakan Falls Serene, relaxing, cold and simply beautiful: 😁 Words to describe Las Navas Pinipisakan Falls. These photos was taken at Pinipisakan Falls in Las Navas Northern Samar. The place just takes your breath away and makes you want to jump in the river immediately! 😍 Once you get there I'm sure you'll be mesmerized with the torquise colored water and the serenity of the place. The water is quite cold and it isn't advisable to swim there if you dont know how to, we actually had to rent a floating cottage  (in the picture), "salbabidas" and lifejacket in order to swim. The stress of travelling for almost 3 hrs is definitely worth it. :)  💪 During this time we took the fastest route using the rough road thru habal-habal by renting one in the main town of Las Navas for 300 pesos (of corz it includes the driver), 😂 you have to make the driver wait for you bcoz you won't find vehicles near the place. (you have to walk

Capturing the Island of San Antonio : Dalupirit Beach

Image
Untouched beach of Brgy. Dalupirit, San Antonio N. Samar Brgy. Dalupirit is located in the island of San Antonio in Northern Samar. It is a 30-40 minutes "baluto" ride from the port of Allen N. Samar called Dapdad, which cost around 30 pesos. Once you arrived in Allen, you should ask the boatmen to take you directly to the shores of Dalupurit for convenience. The island itself is surrounded with magnificent beaches, which is not new in Samar, some of the talked about resorts are Haven of Fun, Seashore, Puro Resort and the newly opened Lagbangan Ecopark and Resort. Dalupirit beach can be differentiated from other beaches in San Antonio because of  its distinct rock formation and untouched corrals. Apart from its scenic beach, the people residing in Brgy. Dalupirit are hospitable and friendly in many ways. The only downfall I have noticed is the unavailability of phone signal in the island, one has to climb a higher ground in order to send and receive messages and m
